Drop off, Pick up and Site Safety
Safety and Site Security
Whilst Twin Sails Infant School and Hamworthy Park Junior School are two schools, we operate as one, under the Federation. Therefore we have one main front office, situated on the Twin Sails Infant School site.
There is a no smoking policy across the school building and its grounds.
In the interest of the children's health and safety, dogs and other pets are not to be bought into the school grounds.
We are mindful of the need to ensure the safety of the children at all times, therefore; all visitors must sign in and out at the Main Office and wear an ID badge. This site has a driveway with 28 parking bays, a staff car park and a turning area.
Twin Sails Driveway
The driveway becomes extremely busy between 8.5am and 8.50am. If you need to enter the driveway, please be aware that delays should be expected due to the volume of traffic. Children in Year 2 and above can be dropped in the drop-off area on the turning area of the roundabout. Children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 must be walked to their classrooms.
We strongly encourage parents not to drive to school, where possible. Our driveway serves over 600 families and parking in the morning is on a first-come, first-served basis.
The driveway is closed to all traffic from 1.15pm - 3.00pm for the safety of all of the children and parents must park off site during these times. We realise that parking close to any school is difficult and we ask that you please consider how you will manage pick up of your child. Please be mindful of our surrounding residents and businesses - parking is not permitted at Cornerstone Academy or Hamworthy United Football Club.
If a parent or carer is a blue badge holder, please contact the School Office.
