School Communications
This page explains how the school communicates with family members of our pupils. Effective communication between school and home is essential.
Hamworthy Primary Schools use a system called Bromcom My Child at School (MCAS) to send communications to Parents/Carers who wish to be kept informed of their child's school activities. It is essential that at least one parent/carer registers with MCAS in order to be kept fully informed. Please contact the school using one of the methods below to register for MCAS.

Once registered, Parents/Carers can receive the following:
Communications
Texts - For urgent communications, this is the preferred method of communication. The school may send urgent messages to Parents/Carers to advise of school closures or any other emergencies. This communication method is rare and relies on Parents/Carers keeping contact details up to date with the schools.
Email - For most communications, the school email Parents/Carers. Emails sent from our schools will come from office@hamworthyprimaryschools.co.uk. Again, we rely on parents/carers keeping contact details up to date with the schools. Emails will consist of Newsletters, upcoming events, important information and reminders.
Wraparound Care, School Clubs, Trips, Nursery Lunch and Nursery Extra Hours
Registering for MCAS also allows parents/carers to book wraparound care at the schools such as Breakfast Club and After School Club. More details on our clubs can be found by clicking on the link below.
Nursery Lunch and Nursery Extra Hours can be booked once parents/carers have signed up for MCAS
All school trips donations are also received from the MCAS system.
Please note the school does not normally accept cash or cheques. The MCAS system is the most efficient way of paying for additional services offered to your child(ren).
Parents Evening - When possible, we invite Parents/Carers into the school to discuss their childs progress. We use MCAS to allow parents to book appointments electronically. This is a fast, efficient way for Parents/Carers to book.

Website - Hamworthy Primary Schools also use this website as a key way to communicate with parents. All newsletters and other communications are held on this website (see our Parents pages).
Facebook - We are working on getting our school Facebook account set up. We will update Parents/Carers when this has been completed.

Hamworthy Park Junior School: 01202 677 870 (Press Option 5 on the keypad as soon as you hear the automatic greeting, you’ll be connected to our Admin Department)
