Welcome to Hamworthy Primary Schools! 

We are so excited to welcome you to our thriving school community. As a new parent to Hamworthy Primary Schools, there is a lot of information to understand and digest. We want to make sure your child settles into our schools quickly and is happy here. 

Our Federation consists of two schools - Twin Sails Infant School & Nursery and Hamworthy Park Junior School. Whilst both schools are unique and meet the needs of all children at different stages of their educational journey, we pride ourselves that we function as an all through Primary School and both school buildings are seamlessly joined. 

Our schools are located in a beautiful part of Dorset, on the edge of Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch conurbation and bordering onto Poole Harbour. This wonderful setting allows children to be immersed in the life of a coastal town. 

Our school grounds back directly on to Hamworthy Park, where children often play after school, participate in water activities in the paddling pool and enjoy the beach lifestyle this brings. With views of the Purbecks to the South and being surrounded by our own extensive grounds, made up of 4 playgrounds, an astro turf, a large sports field, a MUGA sports facility, and a swimming pool. Our children experience a rich diet of outdoor life alongside their core curriculum offer. 

We believe that every child deserves the very best education - and therefore every child is at the centre of all that we do. This starts with putting children's safeguarding and wellbeing first. We aim to ensure your children are safe, feel safe and develop the skills and knowledge to manage their own safety and wellbeing as they develop through different ages and stages of primary school.
