Home learning

Each week home learning is set in class and written by the children in their school planner. In year 3 we alternate between Maths and English skills books each week.

Reading

For children to make good progress in reading, it is important that they read at home regularly. We recommend children to read 5 times per week.

Spelling

Spellings are sent home every Monday. These need to be practised regularly at home in preparation for the spelling test the following Monday.

Times tables

For children to make good progress in their mathematics, we would like to encourage all children to be using Times Tables Rock Stars for an average of 10 minutes per day.
